Thanks! He was probably 20ft or so away and wasn't too bothered with me being there and clicking away at him. I might have got closer had he not finished his rooting around.

Nah. Not the big old thing on the left. The other one. ![]() I can't help the feeling that there are a few things missing on the back though...
Next step is to load film (if I can figure out how) and play with the cool Eye Control focus. Only 7 focus points but fun to see them follow the eye. Even works with my glasses, which I was worried about. ![]()
Alas, I have 3 hours of work to finish before that bit... ![]() Wendy

But with wife, family and 4 kids in tow, there was really no time to stay in one place and shoot much. Not that I'm complaining. Just after that shot, we ended up in pools heated by the local volcano. Very nice and relaxing soak. As for me, I'm a happy camper. My new toy arrived today!
