Just watching Classic British Aircraft on one of the discovery channels about the Canberra PR9 and the camera had a focal length of 12ft and after seeing an image it took at 41 miles I would of been pleased to take a shot like that at 41 meters let alone miles.

WOW! Just had the BBMF Avro Lancaster fly over my house. Quite a nice feeling. No photos I'm afraid. In the war we had a doodle bug hit the trees opposite.

Hey guys, finally managed to charge my phone at War&peace. Won't be online properly until tomorrow night. If anyone has pictures of me from today or tomorrows W&P shows can you pm me links to the relevant pages in this thread? I don't want to miss any of them.

Hope you guys are having a wicked weekend - I'm completely covered in dust and exhausted, but having a great time.

Adios

I was there taking pics of the photographers. What do you look like. Were you wearing pink camo trousers. :)

Top work as usual Mike!

Just got back from FIA. Loooong day, mainly spent with in-laws. Laurence I didn't call mate, it was hectic and I was running all over the place as it was.

Great day. Cloud cover was poo for the Vulcan though, grey grey grey grey :( Think I got some shots I am pleased with, in no small part to the advise and direction of Ian and Laurence so thank you both :)

I'll get the photos sorted and then eat, if I have time I'll throw a couple up later.

No problem :D Knackered here, had supper and now xfering the images to the HDD for DAM'img and culling.

I did meet up with Courior (Matt) and mate Ollie.

As you say the conditions were mixed but I have seen far worse especially as getting in was a mare and Matt & Ollie said it took them 4 hours total journey time.......and as for getting out, well p**s up in brewery couldn't have been sorted by whoever planned how to get many thousands of cars out of the Queens Parade CP :(

Like you I will try to post at least a taster before shuteye time???

Evening all, popped home from Brands to get a little work done.
Got a very busy day at Brands tomorrow, not only shooting the races but also 20 sponsors v(or potentials) in various 'activities' e.g cheq flag waving, handing out trophies, interviewing riders.
And then have to print on site so they can take a momento away!

Anyway, here's a quick snap from my day, very sunny!
This is Chris Northover somehow getting inside Phil Atkinson to take second place in the Triumph Triple Challenge.

great day at Farnborough
Pleasure to meet you Laurence - thanks for all the plane info - very helpful and interesting

Cant be bothered to get my camera out of my bag so maybe some pics tomorrow. Getting out of the car park was a nightmare. Took about an hour although we were kept entertained by the honking and road rage fueled punch up

We left by the exit on the other side which was not nearly as bad. We heard the honking but missed the punch up :( always good to see people making arses of themselves over a queue :D
