Ray.Petri I’m full of useless facts More info | Jul 26, 2010 16:50 | #6954 Sharp-shooter wrote in post #10606452 thanks Adrian. So you fix your camera straight onto the monopod? Hi Sharp-shooter - When I use a monopod I find it only really practical or necessary to attach the camera or the lens directly to the top of the monopod. Now, if I use a tripod I usually use a cheap cine head or a Slik pistol grip thing. However, and I'll be shot down in flames for this - I hardly use a tripod at all but take several shots from the same viewpoint - the days of ISO 50 film with 24 or 36 exposures has come to an end. Most memory cards will give 400+ shots, so why not take multiple exosures and be selective. Another good thing to have in the car or bag is a Jessops 'Pod' - it's a sort of bean bag with a tripod thread - you can place it on top of a tripod or a wall or whatever and it really is stable. Yes or directly to the lens if it has a tripod collar Like this one I would prefer it if the DOF was a bit larger on the first, second one is a corker Adrian

Not sure i like it - it just looks like noise to me rather than an a film grain. I dont think i will use it again. I knew using live rounds was going to be a mistake! ( sorry to those who are squeamish) Rob
