hey guys I am still here lol!
@ Souporman- thanks for actually appreciating what I do, we are a non profit organisation just out there to create events for like-minded photographers to socialise, take photos and learn from each other.
No worries. The cemetary shoot looked good and something I've wanted to do for a while, but I've always wanted to go in the evening.

right one more - then I'll stop being a pest!
I called this one "green mode"
Hilarious! Did you locate him there or did he just happen to want to check out your second body?

Hi
Sharp-shooter - When I use a monopod I find it only really practical or necessary to attach the camera or the lens directly to the top of the monopod. Now, if I use a tripod I usually use a cheap cine head or a Slik pistol grip thing.
However, and I'll be shot down in flames for this - I hardly use a tripod at all but take several shots from the same viewpoint - the days of ISO 50 film with 24 or 36 exposures has come to an end. Most memory cards will give 400+ shots, so why not take multiple exosures and be selective. Another good thing to have in the car or bag is a Jessops 'Pod' - it's a sort of bean bag with a tripod thread - you can place it on top of a tripod or a wall or whatever and it really is stable.
No shooting you down, but there are loads of times where you can take as many shots as you like and never get a sharp, well exposed image. Dusk & evening shots come to mind. The bean bag idea is a good one though, much easier to carry around. I wouldn't be without my tripod though, I use it a lot.

Just a quick one before bed. Been playing with the grain tool in Lightroom. Not sure i like it - it just looks like noise to me rather than an a film grain. I dont think i will use it again.
I knew using live rounds was going to be a mistake! ( sorry to those who are squeamish)
That's some dedication to detail
I agree about the grain/noise though.

I have a feeling my old PS Actions now oversharpen my new 1D Mark IV files. Check out the street sign.
I have 2 custom sharpen actions, one sharpens more than the other. Since getting the mark IV, I almost always use the lesser of the two.
