I've got sparrows buzzing all around me, not really caring that I'm here.

I bet they'll leave if I get the camera out though....

That goes without saying !!

For those in the Dover area tomorrow I've been told that the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight will be making a fly past, don't know what time though.

I had an embarrassing half an hour or so when I thought the portrait shutter button and all other portrait orientation buttons were broken. I looked through all of the custom functions to try to enable them.
Then my mom said "What does that little on/off switch there do?"
Thanks mom

That made me laugh, did the same when I bought Mikes camera grip

According to their own site http://www.raf.mod.uk/bbmf/displayinfo/jun2010.cfm (external link) they are "displaying" at Dover on the Sunday 6th at 13:15hours so maybe they are coming to Manston overnight tomorrow afternoon after the 'rounds' it shows for the 5th ???

That was a great meal ~ you must have a good set of pans :p

@ Rich & Ian ~ your LF report and images is really good and as for "that hill" and the amount of kit that could need lugging up it...............I really am not sure my knees could take that sort of punishment these days :( But will never know without trying one day  :D Having said that it looks like 'going light' with just a body & a 100-400 would cover the reqs though perhaps hiring a 200mm prime could be very usefull???

Remember you can always take your time and get some practise in before hand. If Rich or Ian plan on another trip I would be really interested or just go with anyone else if we cannot persuade them.

I think, subject to both leave available & money, that a week away doing both the Gigrin Farm & LFZ would make a great break........not sure I enough leave overall to play with this year???
