Nice work Ian.

Right, breaking the silence with some shots of Strasbourg, a really lovely city right on the border with Germany, I heartily recommend visiting for a long weekend. Great food, great atmosphere and a great diversity of architecture.

This kinda reminds me of York

Need some help with this last image - we sat next to him at a cafe outside the cathedral...we are sure he's a british actor from the TV, recognised his face and voice immediately but just can't think who he is or what we've seen him in!! Any help will be gratefully received!

QUOTED IMAGE

All i can say is that he looks vaguely familiar. Did you get any shots of him from the front?

oh! And nice series by the way Mike :D

Thanks Scott, no, sadly I didn't get a front-on shot...didn't want to "pap" him!

Was he a Geordie? lol!

I'm not convinced about it being Robson Green though. The mouth doesn't look right to me, although everything above the mouth does look like him. Also, if it WAS Robson Green, i'm sure Mike's wife would've known hehe! The ladies love a bit of Mr Green..

On the sea front it's all to do with the Rolls Royce wheels and wings event.

I know the face Mike but can't think of a name or any programs he's been in. Which is about par for me.

Amazing shots everyone!

The construction of those planes always fascinates me - they look like a metal patchwork quild with all those panels and rivets

This is what they look like freshly painted! (my old job in the RAF)

Few bits missing of the aircraft as they used to get sprayed off the Harrier and in a smaller paint booth. Harrier having its ERC coating applied in the bottom two photos.. just incase anyone asks! ;)

You wont find one if you are searching for the specific hood.
If you just eBay search for '62mm Lens Hood' you will find loads. Simply screws into the filter thread.

If you are not sure if the hood will cause vignetting get one of the 3 stage rubber efforts.

You should see a Submarine out of the water with no paint very strange!

This is the best one I got !
It definately looked better than the others.

Rich

Liking the new avatar, another great picture

Few from knole house/Park today. National Trust property just outside Sevenoaks so unfortunately not allowed to take any pictures inside.

Bit of portrait work, the ones round the house are tamer than those at Richmond. None of these have been cropped!!

We stumbled across this little fellow, he was really unsteady on his feet and we thought he could only be a couple of days old if that.
