Loving some of the B&W stuff, so here's a couple from me;

IMAGE: http://www.swaffsphotography.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2010/05/RH10WHF-230510-9287.jpg
This is Artem (Russian name for Artemisios), one of two Amur Leopards born at Novosibirsk Zoo, Russia. Their mother was a female Amur leopard from Berlin Zoo and their father a male from Moscow Zoo.
Artem is lighter in colour and much bolder around people than his brother. He weighs 47 Kg (94 lbs approx) and eats 4 – 6 Kg (8 – 12 lbs) per meal, 3 times a week.

OK, found it...
This is Ranschan, an enchanting, enigmatic looking Snow leopard who watches the world pass by from his tree top perch.

Thankfully he came down and allowed me this portrait...

IMAGE: http://www.swaffsphotography.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2010/05/RH10WHF-230510-0582.jpg

He weighs 35 Kg (approx 70 lbs), and eats on average between 4 – 6 Kg (8 – 12 lbs) of meat 3 times a week. Normal feeding days are Sunday, Wednesday and Friday.

There is nothing rushed about Ranschan — he contemplates everything from eating and washing to sleeping, and will simply disappear up his tree if not in the mood for entertaining the crowds. However he may be coaxed with titbits and may even allow a scratch on his head if you are lucky.

I dind't dare scratch his head, but got another photo whilst he releaxed in the shade.

IMAGE: http://www.swaffsphotography.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2010/05/RH10WHF-230510-0581.jpg

All shot with 5DII and 70-200 F/2.8, and a tiny lick of fill flash.

You definately did misss a great day.
The Serval is called Malawi, named after the country in Southern Africa where these cats can be found. Born at London Zoo he moved to WHF in Nov 2006. Weighing approx 15 Kg he is fed 6 times a week on a mixed diet of rabbit, pigeon, rat, mice, quails, day old chicks and a selection of meat.

He's quite shy, and not surprising when his enclosure is next to the Three Lion brothers!!!!

he gave me a stare though!
