This was my first shot at equestriene photography. This was also probably the most cooperative horse ever. Let me know what you think.

Well, since nobody else has commented, I think they're great! In the last one, you could have had her put her arms around his neck and lean her head down on his mane, that's one of my favorite ones to do with horses. Also a forehead to forehead is always adorable. I love the first shot though, very unique!

#1: She looks like she's doing something funny. Maybe she should have been closer to the horse's head?

A couple of them are close but not quite there. Last one could have been great if your model had some eye contact with camera. Second to last one also if you hadn't cropped too tight.

First two do nothing for me. Sorry to be so blunt.

It does look like you and your model had fun.

I like what you were going for on the first two - good POV and DOF - putting the woman out of focus was obviously intended and it's extreme enough that it works well but I think I would like to see less negative space in the second one. Also, on #2, the focus should be on the horses eyes, not his nose. I also agree with #1 looking accidentally perverted - next time, don't have her wrap her arm under the horse.

The third one would be great if both horse and person were in focus. This was obviously a more traditional portrait where both should be in focus but only the horse is. The last one would be good if it weren't for her facial expression - looks like you caught her mid-blink or something.

Though I see the artistic idea in the first set, I really like the second set better. Riders have a deep connection with their horses and this really comes through in the close-ups in the second set.

Nice work.
