For those who want a cheap but good quality LCD protector, I recommend the Expert Shield. Easy to apply, without air bubbles and perfectly cut out for the top and main LCD screens on the 5dm2 and other cameras. Made in Japan if you believe the packaging.

You don't notice it's on as it's perfectly cut out for the 5dm2 3inch LCD and top LCD.

Good english instructions.

If the silicone (inner surface) gets dirt or fingerprints on it during the application, it can be washed under running water and re applied. You can do this several times until you are happy with it.

This is the best I've found and it's only USD 5.50 which includes free shipping.

The OEM LCD screen is very tough. It's easy to replace if it gets really scratched or damages, which is unusual. I don't use a protector.

I have something similar called Zagg on my handheld GPS and a cell phone. Very tough and lifetime warranty (you pay replacement shipping)

It just looks like the normal screen, you can't tell that its on.
The normal sort of reflections you get with the straight LCD screen, optically very flat and even, can't see any areas of imperfection.
The pack says it's optical grade crystal film from Japan
I think the manfacturing is the difference with the Expert Shield, it is certainly better made than the other cheap protectors I've used.

It's a pity but I think they are out of business.

Other options would be Clarivue, similar in design to the Expert shield product, but I don't think they include the top lcd protector

On the advice of David Bush, author of many best seeling photography books, I purchsed the Matin LCD Screen Protector. The screen is polycarbonate, easily applies to the camera and looks great. Not to mention be durable. Do a Google search and you will most likley find exactly what you need.

Hope this helps.

LOL....I did not talk with David Bush...I read about this in one of his books.
