This happened with a TV last year when I was working for Best Buy...It happened on my day off, but the night it happened tons of people ordered the tv for store pickup, when they arrived to collect their TV's they had to be told the price wouldn't be honored and their credit cards had not been charged (there is legal jargon in terms and conditions that ensures they are covered if mistakes are made like this...)Customers were so irate that the police had to be called....the good thing was none of the customers had actually been charged....
Of course customers threatened to sue and called it bait and switch, and while I don't believe some of these big companies have the best ethics, I do believe that it was more than likely a mistake.
I don't remember if anyone got there TV's delivered for the incorrect prices... I tried to keep up with it on the Bestbuy forums, but It got out of control and hard to follow LOL....

I love the people on that forum that act like Best buy has some duty to rectify them for their inconvenience. I am sure they really thought Best buy was selling a 52" Plasma for $10.

I feel like the commotion people make will ultimately screw you guys. I bet if 3-5 people ordered it, and no one blew this thing up then maybe....just maybe it would have gone undetected long enough to ship. probably not but much more likely
