Gday all

I want to get an elbow brack to go onto my gripped 50D.

Just wondering what peoples reccomdendations were?

It need to be compatable with my tripod and head which is a Manfrotto 190XPROB+804RC2 head.

Will I need to buy another quick adapter plate or do people find they usually just take them off depending on what orientation they're shooting in?

Thanks a heap in advance :)

You mean an "L bracket"? There aren't really any good ones that fit the Manfrotto RC2 quick release plates. All the ones that fit well to the camera, so you don't need to remove them for hand-held use, are for the Arca-Swiss style release plates. I'm not sure if the 804 has a replaceable clamp; if it did you'd be able to put an Arca-Swiss style QR onto the head instead of the RC2; that's what I did with my 488RC2 when I shifted over.
