Hello There
I wanted to improve my photography skills and I could not find a cheap book I liked, so I came in here. I grabbed my camera over the weekend and went to the beach at sunset to do some photos. Good or bad thoughts are welcomed.

Rule of thirds crop for the flying one, love the reflections on the others.

Nice shots. I like # 1 a lot. Good job on capturing the gull in flight so well.

Would you like to buy a vowel?
Go ahead, spin the wheel.

The first one: I like the feel, the composition needs some help though. A simple recropping should do. I'd crop off the left 25% and bottom 15%. Clone out the wing tips at top right. The exposure and feel is ok.

The Second one: Nice and sharp,Nice exposure. Not a lot happening, just a close up of a gull. However the reflection is nice, maybe a little too much space above, unless you are submitting to publisher where copy would fill that area.

The third one: The bottom plover should be separated a little more from the out-of-focus plover so that the head doesn't conflict with the reflection. Could be a little brighter.

I noticed you turned off the image editing option for others to show you there ideas. You can enable it in your profile settings if you wish.

Thanks for sharing your images with us.

Thank you for the comments, I did not know about the image editing, I have made it so you can now edit my photos.
I will make some changes and then make a repost or edit some other pics I have from the same shoot.

Here's what I see. Placing the gull in the lower third opens up the rest of the frame.
