I know another one.:D:D I am going to be hiking in Glacier National Park this summer. 5-8 miles day hikes. Am looking for a new pack. Have the Canon one. Used it last year for a few hikes and it did just ok. Gear in my signature.

Possible choices so far.
Tamrac Expedition 7x and the Lowpro Trekka 400Aw.
Can anyone tell me if the Tamrac has a rain fly(cover)?
The Lowpro cover looks nice. I think I like the Lowpro pocket for a water bag.
Are these big enough?

I want a belt on the bag for comfort and support.
Extra storage for rain gear and some food for the day.
Will be carrying a tripod most all the time.

Any info and suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks all.

7X is great. It has a wider belt than the lower numbered Expeditions. There is a separate waterproof cover you can buy, I think you need a large, not a medium for that pack. When not in use, it folds up into a pouch which you can hook on the side of the pack.

It's a bulletproof, extremely well-made pack. It will be heavy when loaded, which is why you want the weight on the wide waistbelt and on your hips, not your shoulders.
