Well I'm in Africa right now on a Safari, have a little bit of time to access the internet so I figured I'd post this. We were out and we spotted the legs on an impalla on the ground. Strange by itself, but when we approached, it was being swallowed by this 10 foot African Rock Python. Pretty cool.

thanks god all I have to worry about these days are my weight and which lenses to buy :-). If I had to look out for pythons and lions and such, life would be unbearably interesting I would think.

Great shot and a good reminder to be careful when you walk on the African Sabana.

Wow! That is a really cool photo. Neat to see how stretched the skin on the snake is in the background. Nice shot!

Wow, that thing is stretched. So what would happen if a lion came along right then?

Yeah, it unhinges it's jaws to swallow that thing, then goes and hides for 2-3 weeks while it digests it.

If A lion came it probably wouldn't bother it. It has plenty of other animals to go after haha

I think any snake that big can be deadly to humans, if that thing gets on you, you're finished, unless you have someone to help you.

It finished the meal and dragged itself into a nearby bush. We didn't really disturb the snake. We stayed at a good distance and were very, very quiet.

Thanks. Interesting picture. I've only been to Africa twice, but the only snake I've seen there was one being eaten by an Abdim's stork. I'd love to see something like this.
