Just a heads-up:

http://www.phaseone.com …tware/Expression-Media-2/ (external link)

Press release HERE (external link)

Looks like P1 has bought up EM2 from Microsoft (who were going nowhere with it).

If you own a version of C1 you can get a free licence for EM2
If you own EM2 you can get a free licence to P1 (non pro I'd assume)

Capture One now has asset management...

... sort of. Phase One have bought Microsoft's Expression Media. If you own Capture One then you get Expression Media 2 for PC or Mac FREE until 30th June.

Go here (external link) and have your Capture One Licence Key handy.

I think the plan is to meld this into Capture One and make it seamless like Lightroom.

Just need a print module now ;)

That is ok Hank, I missed it too when I searched for. I posted the press release in the Photo Industry forum.

This is going to be a good thing. EM2 has a strong following and there has always been a somewhat loose relationship between Phase One and EM2. Phase One always does things first class, imo and I would think that they will build this into the Capture One product line in the future. I certainly feel that C1Pro is a better RAW converter than ACR/LR3 and this is bound to cut into LR market share in the future. Just my take on the situation.

My life is like one big RAW file....way too much post processing needed.
