Hello folks,
I am getting a macro bellows which has the m42 mount. It already comes with a lens: 50mm tessar zeiss f2.8

from what I understand this lens is special for the bellows and close work.

Anyway, this kind of got me in the mood for looking for other m42 lenses which can be used for both the bellows (up to maximum 58mmish) as well as using it in general photography (that is, I am not thinking of using an enlarger lens)

I saw the 58mm helios 44m4 (MC version and non MC version) and the 44m2 and the 44m7 (actually I didn't see a 44m2 on ebay today) for about the $30 - but I don't know how it would be on the bellows.

Does anyone have suggestions?

Thanks

The industar 50-2 is supposed to be very good for macro. Its also really tiny. I've got one coming from russia, should be here any day now.

I have a M42 bellows and use enlarging lenses that are M39. A $5 adapter eBay ring will allow the enlarging lenses to be mounted.

Here is an article in case there is a further interest.

This is an example of a 50mm enlarging lens on the bellows. It is a water drop on a lilac bush.
