Parts of the plant and hand are in focus, and parts are not, that was done deliberate because parts of them make up the artistic meaning, I'm not 100% sold on the crop of the hand, but I also wanted to keep a minimal imposition of the aging hand. It's about the start of life and the end of life and I wanted to try to portray that in this piece. (one of many that I'm currently working on with this theme in mind)

I see the concept, but the hand seems to be simply laying there on the dirt, not really planting? Its pretty dark, a little GND could bring up some highlights?

you're a great friend, but if Zombies chase us, I am tripping you.

Interesting concept, great hand detail but as we can't make out the ground detail it slightly misses the title brief.

I love it. Flo might be onto something though. The hand doesn't seem to be working.
