You need to have a word with your arranger on that first one! Seriously, I like it — a lot. The second one is more subtle but also very clever. Good work.

Flower heads of different ages on the same plant. 1, younger; 2, older, with a bonus geometrid caterpillar.

My first post to this thread is of two images - both focused stacked (about 15 images each).

Canon 6D and Tamrom 90mm F2.8 macro lens and lit with my home made fibre optic snoots on a Yongnou 560 strobe.

Nicely done, Karl. I particularly like the first image — the reddish hues against the black background is pretty spectacular.

Thanks, and I don't know. This was in someone's front yard. The plant was about waist height, with much branching, and had many blooms. The stems looked fleshy enough that it might be classified as a succulent. In botanical gardens, plants that look like this have labels identifying them as native to South Africa. The climate here is Mediterranean, which is compatible with S. Afr. natives. A little searching got me to the genus Protea as a possibility.

They look like grevillia's or banksia's. We have that sort of flowers here in Oz. The second one could be a Scarlet Ribbon.
