It is a form of clematis. The seed heads probably go fluffy when they are ripe.

Thank you! Clematis didn't occur to me. There are other clematises in local gardens, but they have bigger flowers.

Thank you, they do. These cacti are such bee magnets. The flowers start to open in early evening and the bees get right to work. There's a brief window for shooting just before bee bedtime. Bees return in the morning, when the flowers are closing slowly.
