I probably should know what kind of tree this is, but I don't. I suspect it is a cultivated species although I didn't find it in a garden. Pretty tree whatever it is, similar to a dogwood but blooms in May.

I looked that up, I think you are correct. Well I had the family correct anyway. It isn't native to this area apparently so it is cultivated in this area. Thank you!
