Ornamental Thistle. Please note: NOT a weed.

I have been working on this thistle for about 4 years now - it has had its ups and downs and been planted in various spots in the garden, but it has now decided to grow.
It is currently 9 feet tall. Apologies to any Scots out there who can boast a bigger one than mine.
I am just waiting for it to bloom a bit more.

I dunno the difference in Ornamental and Wild but I shot some pics of Wild thistles that were at least 5...maybe 7 feet tall. I think they are wonderful!
