I just purchased a canon s90. Any good replacement batteries (affordable) that you recommend? How about other accessories (I like the grip)? So excited I'm part of the S90 club now. :)

- Batteries...Delkin in the US

- Add on lens adapters:
1) Lensmate

I decided against this one because even with their new "bayonet" design...it bugged me that you would end up putting some amount of torque or twist on the end of the lens drive mechanism. Could be unfounded concern...but it just bugged me.
2) E-bay

There are a slew of these and their all made in China (like what? about 98% of everything anyway).
I picked one of these...works great now for a couple months with lot's of usage. Not as svelt but it also gives you something else to sort of put your left hand fingers around when you're not futzing with the great selector ring at the base of the lens.

- Add on lenses:
A plethora of 37mm video-cam lenses out there...fisheyes, wider angles, telephotos, macros

- Add on filters:
Same thing so many choices...so little time situation.

- The grip...GET THIS (IMHO):
I added some self adhesive grip stuff for steps from home depot to this hand cut to follow the curved part and on the bottom of it as well as a little round piece on the shutter button and on the left close to the screen near where your thumb rests

- To keep the fleshy part below your thumb from "magically" changing settings on you

Have fun:D

Lotsa stuff, running outta room and a wife...I keep looking at her and wondering???

Sterlingtek for batteries. I've used many of them for all my cameras. Highly recommended.

What do you need the rest of that stuff for? The whole point to the S90 is that it provides good image quality in a highly portable package. By the time you add all that stuff, you might as well have bought a micro 4/3'rds camera.

Hehe good point. I guess I mostly want an extra battery (for emergency) and perhaps the grip. Thanks.

I agree with JohnJ80, why make a compact camera not compact? But do get the grip, it does everything people say -- it's a fantastic add-on. I haven't had the problems with the back control wheel many people report, but that ring to "protect" the wheel looks interesting....
