Sorry if this been asked before and I searched. I was not able to find a specific answer or I didn't look harder enough.

Which one of the picture style do you use for weddings, engagement and/or modeling? What is your sharpness, contrast, saturation and color tone set to? Please state which camera body you're using.

Currently I use:
Standard
Sharpness 5
Contrast 0
Saturation -1
Color Tone 0

I was wondering if I should use a different picture style settings suitable for people photography such as wedding, e-shoot or modeling. I know it can be changed if I shoot RAW but I want to reduce the post processing work as much as possible

I shoot raw and process in Lightroom. No need to fiddle with any of those settings out in the field. I have enough to worry about with lighting/posing/composition/focus/exposure/what to eat for lunch/etc...

So if you process the RAW in LR, the picture style settings are not applied at all?

Correct...I can shoot with the Monochrome picture style so previewing the images in-camera will show B&W, but once LR gets ahold of them, they are color again!

My general shooting picture style is based off the the Neutral style, with saturation bumped up one click. It does a much better job of handling reds than the Standard picture style.

I'd also suggest shooting RAW, especially for weddings. It's all about the exposure latitude, which you don't get with JPG. (Essentially, RAW files have more adjustability in exposure, which can save your butt on a wedding gig.)

You can create (or download) presets for Lightroom to make it very fast and easy to apply a certain "look" to your photos, and it's all non-destructive editing (meaning the original RAW file is never altered directly and you can always go back to the original shot).

Say you tweak a given shot in Lightroom, adjusting the exposure, fill light, saturation, vibrance, noise reduction, and sharpening. It is extremely fast and easy to apply those adjustments to other RAW files...and you aren't stuck with the settings you chose (unlike if you shot them with a given set of parameters in JPG).

Initially (up until maybe 2004), I was pretty reluctant to use RAW because the amount of PP work seemed daunting, but after improvements to ACR in PS, and now in Lightroom, I have become a huge proponent of shooting RAW in certain situations.

I really like the sharpness in dpp/picture style but dislike LR's sharpening... is there any way I can use the camera's sharpness settings in LR with the RAW file?

How about for model shoots? I read somehwere bumping the Saturation by 2 clicks is ideal.

That depends on the "look" you are looking for. There is never an "ideal" setting for any of these parameters. Just use whatever looks good to you.

Or shoot raw and worry about it later.
