Hello all, I'm brand new here to the POTN forums. I recently had a few prints up in a local photography exhibit, and also donated a one-hour portrait session to be auctioned off for charity during the event. That session turned out to be a lot of fun, and here's a couple of the results that I liked, just wanted to share:

Interesting shots, but the second seems to be out of focus to me... either that or I need an eye exam! :-)

I agree with the above post but i think you can make the first one better with some sharpening and brightening treatment to her eyes in PP. Beautiful models too!

Thanks all of you! Yeah, the second one the focus is a tad off, and I really wish I'd had the foresight to track down an MUA who was willing to donate an hour of their time too, as their hair was all over the place! But she still loved them, and it was a fun shoot for me.

The first image is definately my favorite. Very well composeds, good lighting and great background blur. However the young lady's skin seems a bit too light and skin a bit over processed for my taste. The color on the second image seems a just a bit cool. It's been a while since I calibrated my monitor so it might just be me. Nice work overall and it was good of you to donate the session.

Thanks, I did a lot more PP work here on her skin than I normally would...which is partly because I didn't have an MUA. But, she was really happy with the results! These were both just natural light before PP.
