Can you shoot in the dark from a moving boat handheld? In the middle of a jungle? When it's cloudy? And dark? :p

two things. on my way back home I saw ... well .. it was a bug. it looked like a fly but it was huge. at least 10x bigger then a fly. I puked a little bit in my mouth as I hate bugs or spiders.

second thing, I wanna go all prime pronto ^_^ I touched my 16-35 today and it just doesn't do it for me. even my might fine 24-105 will go to get my ultimate prime setup :D 21, 35, 50, 85 and 135 ^_^ the only zoom is gonna be 70-200II as you can't beat that lens in versatility.

:p I have seen a lot of people with those kind of famous words and eat it up in the future. much like "I think my lens lineup is complete" then after a few weeks buys another lens hahaha

Not the same thing at all.

I simply cannot stomach Nikon's attitude, which also seems to be common with a lot of Nikonians. I did own a Nikon high-end, high-zoom P&S years ago, but they don't have a prayer in Hell of selling me a camera again unless their attitude changes.

Lens lineups, however, are never complete. Anyone who really loves photography and DSLRs knows that. Our lens lineup will grow throughout the indefinite future. Even if we were to win the Powerball and be able to buy all the lenses we want in one fell swoop, they are always coming out with new ones.

I just hope my camera will work flawlessly for the next few years so I don't have to deal with warranties etc. Our warranty systems here suck whether Nikon or Canon. although Canon is a bit better.

yeah Lenses are like kids, never-ending expenditures. hahaha

I agree about that..many Nikonians are like Ken Rockwell, and its sad

Look i just like Nikon's cameras better in a few ways...i like and prefer buttons and levers for everything versus canons submenus and that..and some lenses id much rather have because they're black instead of white...

How much is the Canon 28-300? :p

The Canon EF 28-300mm f/3.5-5.6L IS USM sells for US$2420 (USA version–US$2399 gray-market version) at B&H. While it is not Canon's best "L" lens by any means, it does beat any of the non-"L" Canon lenses for IQ, and it is the best 28-300mm superzoom on the market, bar none. If you could only have one lens for travel (or whatever), it is an excellent choice.

I think I am one of them :o

Kenji you could always buy a bucket of black paint and pour it into those white L lenses ;):p

but we haven't tested the new Nikkor 28-300mm yet... if we look at the quality of those new Nikon lenses as our benchmark , we might have a good one here also.

Many are much worse, and they post here (probably because the Nikonians forum wouldn't tolerate them).

Hey, if you want to shoot Nikon, go for it. Just avoid the putting down of anything else with the many false and/or relative statements that seem to be common on this thread.

It's the Nikon attitude I can't stand, not the cameras. The cameras are quite good in their respective price ranges, but I still won't buy one.

who are you talking about? Never been to Nikonians, but most other forums are not as lively, friendly as here.

is it Nikon's attitude or Nikon users in general? much like any Apple Users also? :)

I used to shoot Nikon way before I got into Canon. I remember when Nikonians.org was a free site and once I got in there to ask for help, the were rude and obnoxious. That was the last time I ever go in there. NikonCafe is ok but, not as lively here. :)

Good morning Steven. I just did a repeat composition today with my Lee Big Stopper 10 stop ND. Today's light was real nice and I wanted to see if my 16-35 II would vignette with that filter. Judging from my LCD, it looks like it didn't. The only way to know is when I view it at home :)
