It's Nikon's attitude as a company, as evidenced in their ads (Ashton Kutcher, et al) and the way the treat inquiring potential customers (me).

Of course, this attitude does in a large part infect Nikon users, like the ones who claim they use Nikon because they are professionals, etc. And yes, the Nikonians forum is a lot less friendly than dear old POTN. Another example of the "nikitude" in action.

Good morning there Roger :)

yeah, I have to say Nikon as a company is way behind Canon. We don't even have a Nikon service center here, we only have a distributor here under Nikon HK and doubles as the service center also.

Re: being professional, well just don't mind them hehe

Nikon Cafe is really nice, but it's small. I continue to post here, because it's the best camera community by far.

I suck at Photoshop.

Yep, Boston! I don't know if I will do any HDR in Boston, but if you want I can pull up clarity and vividness in LR for you!

My older sister's new bf wants to make a good impression on the family (we've met him once here in Cali about two months ago), so he is going to treat us to a fancy French restaurant. So I have to bring a fancy set of clothes for one night, but it's a free meal! And I'll try to take more food pictures for you guys to drool over. :)

That's too expensive for me though... so I will just get these gel filters..

I am thinking about the 4.0 ND (13stop?), 0.9 (3stop) and 1 infrared.

and I am all set

as you can read a few posts back, I am pretty disappointed with my 100x100mm ND1.2 as I can't seem to handhold it without light leak

Well, guys I overdosed on my (PAIN) medication last night and I feel as if I have a hangover. I get distracted easily (children fighting) and wound up taking 2 instead of 1.

Yeah, according to the pharmacist I was good unless I took 4. I was like I took 8 motrin at one time.
