ok I thought so, its 10-stop
wow!! yeah I can see the rear filter holder on the 12-24mm but I don't know how to remove it, it looks like its screwed into place. sorry I don't have the manual here with me, its on my other house.
and Jon you are saying
3 x 3 = as in 3 inch x 3 inch? can I cut them up in a way so that I could make 2 or 3 filters?
btw, is this the filter you are suggesting? its 4.0 = 13 stops?

and I saw a lee 3-stop gel for a lot cheaper.. is this ok also?

how about Infra red? there's 89B, 87B & C ... do you know which one is the same as the Hoya R72?
You can easily get several rear filters out of a 3x3 or 4x4 gel. Dunno about Lee, but I'd expect that if you stretch it flat it'd do the job too. 89B would be the strongest Kodak IR; not sure exactly how the Hoya and Kodak numbers line up.
nothing really, I was hyped when Jon mentioned the gel filter to fit on my Sigma 12-24mm hahaha and now I can't sleep researching about those filters, and I thinnk Jon is sleeping already and left me hanging

I will sleep in a little while...
Nope - en route to vacation.
