I've held a Leica M9 at my local camera store. The owner has a ton of Leica and swears by it. He sold me on it by showing me his M9 and 50 Noctilux. Drool!!!
The Noctilux is something I wish I had never messed around with on my M8 before buying the M8. With the M9's oversized VF, I can only imagine how smooth focusing would be wide-open with the true 'lighteater'.
While I thought the M8 was one of the worst purchasing decisions I ever made; it wasn't necessarily an ergonomic issue (while I definitely do prefer the experience of using the Epson R-D1s), but had to do with poor ISO performance, still not being full-frame, and all of the little IQ issues revolving around that weak AA filter. All in all, if I wanted a crop digital rangefinder, it certainly wouldn't be an M8; it would be the Epson R-D1s all over again.
Alas, I want'ze full-frame Kodak sensor in 'ze German rangefinder!

Hey, i'm not knocking it, i'm just saying that's a lot of cash. I'm sure the quality is insane and dreamy to shoot with.
It is a marvel, but ten grand is way out of my budget no matter the pleasure the lens may bring when in use.
