I've gone and come close 3 times before, This time i might actually do it, it never was financially feasable for me to do it before (leaving me with basically one, maybe two lenses) which was a large reason i didnt...This time its looking more like a realistic option (Since basically id be out maybe $500 if i bought all of that..)

Also i think the D7000 and the 50 f/1.4G looks really good, and compact/small...I think im very willing to trade 2 fps for portability...

When I switched I went from quite a few lenses and two bodies, to one body and two lenses (and a few flashes)... and a bit of money left over.

I'm happy though. :D

The best solution to Lens lust and Gear Lust and whatever Lust you have is to switch to Nikon... specially if you are always hanging out in this forum. hahaha

nobody, and I mean nobody ohhh maybe only Nicksan could cause you to have lens lust in this forum :D

BTW most Americans mispronounce "EMU" badly.

It's not "E" - "Moo"
It's "eam" (as in "team") - "You".

Correct!

cheers, juice (Canon shooter, Elinchrom lighter, but pretty much agnostic on brands.)

I did start with the D700+50mm f/1.4D but I couldn't stand only having lens, so 3weeks after I bought two more , The Sigma 12-24mm (1 of the reason to go FF) and a cheap but good telephoto 70-300mm... which is usually used for candids only. :D

do it Kenji, I think the D7000 is impressive, a looootttt better than the 60D photography wise (IMHO).

No question better than the 60D, but i am pitting it against the 7D..thats the bit that concerns me...I'm afraid im asking it to punch above its weight...

I am hoping that 16mp sensor is a peach, im hoping theres a little D3S noise magic in there...the early jpeg i saw at 3200 looked fairly good, but i cant call it based on one image...

Well, I hope so for your sake, but the D3s is a FF 12MP sensor, which helps it along. :)

well for one, its cheaper :D and you did mention better flash system if you are into strobes :D

Most features in the 7D that Canon users call revolutionary have been present in the D300/D700 for a few years now... AFAIK.

so you see, Nikon Bodies have always been more advanced than their Canon counterpart...
