Kirk, I understand how a noink user might disagree with my very logical statement. But in my experience Noink cameras do not focus where I want them to, but rather lock on the most distant/largest thing in the frame. The noise darker portions of the frame is way too much for me. Basically for close up photography my cell phone takes better pictures.

Now for a not so quick, there is a significant shutter delay, snapshots Noink's do work well.

I'm just a simple maker of love charms and tokens, who occasionally takes a picture or two.

OH Wait, you are the one that bought a P&S to shoot macro for jewerly right?

Well I can see where you are ill with the AF then, however I was referring to the DSLR cams. Coolpix do suck...... My point and shoot is a G10:D

I hope you're not being serious, haha. The D3's shutter delay is 40ms. Guess what the 1D4's is? 49ms. ;)

I think the world should switch all watches to read time in milliseconds it's just so important. :D

I have seriously be thinking about running both systems.

Canon has the great primes that Nikon has failed to answer, like the 400 f/5.6 and the wonderfully portable 70-200 f/4IS
and Nikon can do things that Canon has not figured out how to do, like autofocus

If only Canon and Nikon could mate... We'd get the good offspring that combines the best of both, Canon, and the bad offspring the combines the worst of both, Nikon. There would be no more debate as to which one is better than the other. ;):p

Today at a baseball game there was a Nikon user with his lens hood on backwards. He turned the hood to focus. :p
I will have a picture soon as proof!

He's protecting the focus ring, though. Nikon lenses need their focus rings protected, they're very fragile.

Apparently I've been dubbed Foxy.

Nah, He just doesnt need to use it because the camera knows how to focus. The lens also does not need the hood because it will never have flare issues and also is a lot tougher than the Canon ones. :D

LOL

I can't count the times I've seen someone with a nice shiny (usually Canon camera, but this is mainly because low end Canons are better) camera, with their hood on backwards.

Sign of a noob IMHO.

Oh and why will you have a picture soon as proof? You doing a Ken Rockwell and are reenacting it in your backyard?! :p

If you combine the two, it would be called NiCan't. ;):p

I'm feeling lazy and haven't uploaded the pics to my computer, and I might blur the guys face to save embarrassment. His face is fully exposed as he was holding the camera with only one hand to take a picture. The funny thing is the camera was used by about 5 different people. I found it really annoying and was going to tell them but suddenly in the bottom of the 8th it was on the right way
And how could I reenact it? I don't have any way to get Nikon stuff!
