I love stuff like this!

What's it cost, about, to get trucks into that HP/speed range?

Well if you have the 2008-2010 Ford Powerstroke first, and to get to around 500HP or so it will be about $1500. But that is just the basics. you need to plan on a trans upgrade and head studs. My friend has well over 20K in mods in his truck. but for him he gets all the perks of owning one of the biggest Ford diesel websites....

Not necessary, as I changed it to a link. Your cache is probably still showing the image?

Well then you know mikey, aka bigrpowr owns that truck and is a good friend of mine. That engine is going to be going into a true race truck pretty soon.

Nice.

What kind of boost? I'd imagine 40psi or better.

No propane?

I want to say that boost is in the high 60's-70 with the modded turbos. that engine will actually pull just over 40 in stock form from the compound turbo system it has.

As for propane injection goes, propane can cause serious cylinder pressure spikes because it can pre ignite very easily. Even stock trucks with no other mods have cracked pistons with propane. Not all trucks, but quite a few.
