School photo Diptych

First time posting a photo.
So what do you guys think?

Doesn't work for me, should they compliment each other? You also have dust on the second photo...

Have you looked at images for this process? Google and you will see how it should work.

I think the main problem here is that you have chosen a rather dull subject and your concept of a diptych that transitions between two photos is difficult to execute well. Each image should be able to stand on its own, and combining two photos with nothing to draw the eye does little to increase their appeal.

For example, this could have been better if you had chosen a subject that both requires a detailed look, and a wider view for context. Like the details in a flower, and a field of flowers. Grass is normally a little too undefined to warrant a look from both perspectives in my opinion.

As for the dust, I suggest you familiarize yourself with the healing brush or clone stamp. Leaving dust in your images will make them feel less polished.
