The event was a charity boxing match so all the participants are true amateurs. The guy in blue is my brother-in-law. He was knocked down and the fight was stopped. This is my first time photographing something like this, so any input is valuable.

Something with the white balance doesn't sit right with me though - a little too pink ?

you are right, it is a little on the pink/purple side. i white balanced it properly then dialled it back to the pink/purple slightly because the overhead lights were purple so it (imo) conveyed what it looked like on the night better.

they were suprisingly hard to do - especially focus and getting a good shot with the ropes in the way. makes me admire the guys who do this for a living all the more.

your WB is pretty off.
also your shutter is way to slow.
