Hi All,

Just thought I would post on here what I feel was one of the best experiences buying a lens.

I have been after a 85mm f1.2 for a while now and ebay prices on second hand ones are quite high, a good example fetching around £1300, well after looking at Onestop Digital who I have bought from before and had a very good service from I thought i might as well go with them as they were charging £1505.

Then I came across a dealer who imports from the states to his sister in Scotland I'm sure a lot of people know of him on here (Ian Kerr) or kerso as he is known on ebay, well I emailed him on Wednesday afternoon asking for a price and got a instant responce £1390 + £15.00 Special delivery.

This bit got me a bit nervous but lots of people have dealt with him this way and have gave a positve responce - Bank transfer of £1405.00

I dived in payed the money and had a email reciept the next morning (Thursday) Then this morning (Friday) at 10.30am Mr Royal Mail turned up at my door with a small but very heavy box!!

WOW what lens, I'v got a wedding this weekend and plan on giving it a good workout...

Thankyou once again to Ian and his sister in Scotland, Amazing service and thoroughly recommended,
I doubt you will find lenses or bodies cheaper anywhere else and all have full international warrentee and VAT and import duty paid

His email if anyone wants it is kerso1123 AT msn DOT com -wrote like this should stop the spam bots!

The camera is just a storage box, it's the gLass in front that makes the image...

Yes, Ian is great and provides excellent prices and service; have used him a number of times. However, I would recommend that you amend his email address in your post to 'kerso1123 AT msn.com', coz nothing do spambots like better than collecting email addresses from open forums like this one in order to fill the addressee's mailbox with spam. If you change the @ to AT, it makes it harder for them to steal!!!

In that case, you should amend your quote as well. :)

I second the great service from Ian. I have bought a 5D2, 24-70/2.8, 100/2.8 and 50/1.4 off him. He is a great bloke to do business with and I would never hesitate in recommending him or using him again.

Just bough an 600EXRT and an ST-E3-RT from Ian. Brilliant service, outstanding prices, and lightening fast delivery - ordered on Thursday after exchanging a couple of emails, and had the gear in my hand by 1000 on the Saturday morning.

Fantastic stuff. Thanks Ian.
