Very quick set up for a shoot of a freshly wrapped CL. (a pub carpark had to do once it was out of the booth/workshop on the way to handing it back to customer)

And a quick one whilst it was still in the booth

Excuse my ignorance, it's an honest question - is "wrapping" different from "painting"?

Yes - try doing a colour change in a day :D

On a serious note, its a vinyl skin which protects the old paint and means you can change colours when you want without devaluing the car by having say a crazy colour. Its also considerably cheaper to wrap a car than repaint it (if you are doing both to high standards)

I'd have turned the wheel a bit in them, but 1-3 are nice work!

Keep that location in mind & maybe move a little farther from the trees if you can next time to get some more reflection from the sky in the roof.

I have the turned wheel aswell. However one thing I picked up was that as i was trying to balance the front (lit with strobe) with the side profile ambient that the wheels gave different colour profiles from the light, so the front wheel wasnt the golden colour from the dusk sun.

Its not abad location though, after the GTR stuff I knew i needed to be further away from anything to avoid obstructions/reflections (may be good for the black cars here as its just empty space) Not sure how further I could bring the car forward though as currently I have a big gap in my gear between 35 and 70mm

I take it this is how you would prefer the wheel turned in?

Nice series. One of these flew past me on the freeway once, it sounded nasty. Had a custom exhaust.

I think the processing works well. If you hadn't seen the original, you wouldn't know, which in my mind is the mark of good processing.

About half that much would look better to me. Good point about the "so the front wheel wasnt the golden colour from the dusk sun."

currently I have a big gap in my gear between 35 and 70mm

The much maligned Kit lens is not terrible at f/8 & above.

It looks great to me!

Im holding out for a 24-70.

No point in cheap glass at my end as I need it for the music work where even at times my 2.8 stuff could do with being quicker. 24-70 Should be a great little lens for shooting cars with when space is a bit tighter.

tried that 1.8 50mm and it was shocking though lol.
