Not having a camera to take photos with every day had been a torture, a complete waste of time. But the lessons had been learned, a Camera on Credit is nothing more than wishful thinking.

Today, after months of putting bits of cash here and there inside a brown envelope, I was finally able to drive down to Fremont and purchase a camera of my own!!...

Sure, I had been dreaming with the 50D, and 7D. But truth is, I could not see myself saving that much money.

So I got the next best thing. A 40D, in incredible state !! I brought it home, without a single scratch, and less than 7000 actuations. All I can say is Wow.

As a second first impression (I owned a 40D a few years back, but it ended in much better hands) this camera can do all I need it to do. And then maybe even some more.

This might not sound like incredible news, but to me they are. It's been dark and lonely without any gear.

So Join me on a toast for Canon !!!!

(Pics of the Cam and From the cam are coming up soon) :)

There was a time the 40D was many people's dream buy so it's a very nice body to get hold of. And with those two primes you should really enjoy yourself. We all know it's not the gear so looking forward to seeing some new shots.

Thanks folks, the climb -whether it is the first or the tenth time around- must always be started from the first step. Now, I am finally not ashamed to be there. I think I will enjoy being the guy with the simple setup for a while. :)

Welcome back Mario, the 40D is still a very good camera despite what some gearheads will have you think!

And 6.5K actuations is barely used at all!
