A pair of Sumatran Tigers at the Welsh Mountain Zoo in North Wales. The shoot was in aid of them receiving some Ten Pin Bowling balls from an alley to "play with" and they seemed to enjoy their new play things.....

Great pictures! The higher res ones are definitely better to look at.

I loved walking around the Welsh Mountain Zoo, I remember watching a tiger for for ages but he wasn't going to move for me. Great shots, love the first one.

Thanks for your comments everyone and it took a hell of a lot of patience to get these shots, as they were enjoying the sun and rarely moved. Spent another 3 hours with them yesterday L55 and didn't get a single shot of them playing with the bowling balls, that I need :( but the zoo is a great place to visit, with so much more to see..... :D

I don't know why the bottom three came out as they have on here drunkenmigu, as I coverted them all the same way for the web :(

No worries, the full res shots were a treat to look at. And yeah, large felines are very lazy. They eat a couple of days worth of food in one sitting, and sleep until they need to hunt and eat again. But that doesn't only pertain to large felines :P
