So for the next couple tutorials I think I'm gonna show compositing skies, compositing objects, and cover skin retouching. I also will probably show some severe color correction techniques as well. What does everyone think?

skin tutorials

@ Chairman.. that is great edit bro !

2 layers,

top is the motion blurred layer
bottom is the same but not blurred

i erased away the top layer in the areas i wanted to keep Laine Sharp.. pretty easy..

lighting was a single AB1600 with PLM 64 at about 3/4 power and placed camera left..
the set up photo was opposite of where i finally liked the light and placement .. so camera left !

Camera:Canon EOS 5D Mark II
Exposure:0.005 sec (1/200)
Aperture:f/8.0
Focal Length:35 mm

^^^^^ that is awesome work..
love the smoke work..

a photo shoot for Cherry...

she is from Tennessee and requested a country scene shot.

this shot works because we put her into a Curvy pose and the leaning on the fence is natural looking, and the leading and ending lines of the fence leads to her..

i desaturated, and added a rust layer scratchy texture

she is often my Light Stand holder or Light Boomer for me.

thanks Cherry for helping me the other day..

shot was taken late in the even, dusk really..

your welcome Tigerkn..

we are all here to learn.. and i hope this thread provides great examples for others learn from and also contribute - i am liking how this thread is growing with wonderful examples and the mass of talent in this POTN forum ..

this winter was cold and long..

on Xmas day i asked Kathryn if she was bored? and if she was, lets do a shoot in the middle of the night... haha..

so what happened was her whole family came out and did this shoot with me..

dad held the lights, mom helped with the other light, and patrick her bro also assisted with more lighting

it was extremely cold, about 18 degrees, and young Kathryn held it in like a pro..

most of the snow falling was real, i added about 30 percent more, the bokeh on the trees is real.. bottom line i was freezing my you know what off.. but i rather be taking photos than being bored at home.. haha..

this edit involves many layers of textures.. but that is all i did.. simple textures post work

lighting was 2 lights.. AB1600 in the side for the rear kicker
and key light was the AB1600 with A beauty dish.. both were about 1/4 power

Pham, where do you get your textures from? Like the rust, scratchy, etc. I can't seem to find them in my CS5 pack.
