After many years of commercial, industrial, photojournalism and social documentary photogaphy I've become an events photographer;) I was asked by Revlon Laos to shoot their new product launch at the local shopping mall.. Who could pass up the chance of photographing beautiful models??

I went along to the rehearsals on friday night and was dismayed at the quality of the lighting.. I had a good talk with the organisers and they told me things will be better on the day.. At this stage I would have had to shoot at 1600 or 3200 ISO wide open.. On the day I was really surprised,, 800 ISO with faster shutterspeeds and smaller apertures..

I shot with two lenses.. My EF 50mm f/1.4 mounted on my 50D for longer shots and my EF 135mm F/2L on my 20D for tighter shots.. I shot my 50D on sRAW1 to give me similar file sizes as my 20D.. Also, I still amazed at the image quality of my old 20D compared to my 50D and how well the 135L works on my 20D..

I've been assured that I can use any of the models for my own shoots as I need:D

Here are a couple of pics.. I'll put more up as I process them..

First pic 20D/EF 135mm f/2L.. Second pic 50D/EF 50mm f/1.4..

EXIF is intact..

Very interesting.
I haven't travelled Laos too extensively, and thus I'm pleasantly surprised to see these pictures from the PDR Laos!
Great!

Laos is developing fast.. You'd be surprised how cosmopolitan Vientiane has become in the past few years..
