Nooo err 01 and loud noise from IS

So I was doing a shoot for my friend with the 24-105mm IS. Had the mini tt1 on and when I fired the shutter kinda lagged and the flash fired but had a late delay. Then err 01 popped on the screen. I cleaned the contacts with an eraser. Same issue and then I heard a loud whirring noise from the is. Nooo!! Crap
so I sent it in to canon. Anyone know how much it cost to fix? Also tried another lens.. No issues

Until you know exactly what the issue is with the lens, you won't know what the cost is. You'll have to wait for Canon to tell you what's the matter with the lens.
