Just north of Tucson, AZ is the town of Marana and their fantastic municipal airport. Our local cadre of aviation shooters has been hawking (Skyhawking) this project nearly from its inception and the first fruits of labor took flight two weeks ago with a short hop over to Chino for the Planes of Fame airshow.

Today, this rebuilt McDonnell-Douglas TA-4J came home to roost after her triumphant debut!

And A B&W Conversion As Well...

I hope to document further progress on this magnificent aircraft.

Great shots Jay! Thansk so much for posting. Brings back memories of when my dad used to fly them in the Navy.

Very nice indeed.
My pick of the bunch has to be 3+7, the b/w conversion works very well.
Will be good see to more of this.
Thanks for posting.

Very nice ! I guess that's another example of men and boys and the price of their toys. The B+W works best for Me.

Thanks All...

It's a pretty daunting project but it could yield an unbelievable return on investment for the gentleman who is doing this.
