How to avoid sun glare and reflections?

I was out last night and captured the midnight sun. On this image I used the B+W 10 stop ND filter. It gives lots of sun flares and vertical stripes. Is there a way to avoid this or is it just a matter of removing them in Photoshop?
Here I used the 16-35mm@16mm, f/8, 2,5s
