Would it be possible to post a photo showing the modified inserts? I too have this bag (as well as the 107 and 207).

Thanks

That's why I said additional inserts and a pair of scissors!

Basically, take two 8x15 superflex inserts, cut the small parts off, giving you two squares of 8x8 and 15 high. Put beside each other in the bag (instead of one 8x15x15 supaflex insert with an 8x8 and about 8x4 spaces). The bag comfortably accommodates more than the manufaturer's spec of 15 wide.

I have got 6 supaflex inserts, one 7x15, three 8x15 and two 8x18. I have cut the short parts of each giving me six squares, one 7x7, three 8x8 and to high 8x8. Organised in three rows of two. leaves me with enough space at one end for my 5D with say 24-105 zoom.

Excellent. Thanks. Always interested in how others organize their camera bags.

As promised...

Sorry for the poor pictures, but these are taken with my camera phone as my 5DII is in the bag.

Here's my 307 closed:

IMAGE: http://www.marcderidder.com/swas/307-1.jpg

Here's it open with the main compartment showing:

IMAGE: http://www.marcderidder.com/swas/307-2.jpg

In it I have:
Top: 5DII with L-bracket and 24-105 L IS
One down left: 1.4x TC II, 12mm and 25mm ext. tubes and 15mm fisheye stacked
One down right: 70-200 L IS
Two down left: 24 TS-e II
Two down right: 100 L IS
Bottom left: 430EX II and remote
Bottom right: 16-35 L II
Front pocket 1: 5x Lee filters (4 NDGrads and Big Stopper) and 105mm B+W CPL.
Front pocket 2: spare battery, 3x spare CF's, Lee Filter holder,3x Lee adaptor rings and cleaning cloth

The Lee Filter would actually fit lying flat on top of the two bottom rows of lenses, freeing up a pocket for other things if needed.

I still have a Billingham bag that I purchased in 1974 and its still the best bag I've ever used. Looks like they have changed the material a bit but the rest is still the same. I also have a harness so that you can wear it like a ruck sack, don't know if they still do that. What I'm trying to say is "They are great bags and will last you a life time"

Yes, and then some.

Really sorry, but need one of you gents to do me a HUGE favor please.

Could you be so kind as to check if a 7D/5DII + 24-105 AND a 13-14" laptop would fit??
No other lenses or accessories.

I am ready to bite the bullet, but no way for me to actually handle the bag in person. I would like to carry a 107/207 as an everyday bag

Thank you and sorry for the bother, but it would help me decide.

I wish I could afford a Billingham. Christ I can get a Sigma 50 1.4 for the same price...
