I found am original wrist strap. I have not seen any like it, although there probably are some like it. I have used it for about 2-3 weeks and it's great for some occasions. It's working out really well so I thought I would pass it on.

There's a lot of companies that make something like this.

Hakuba (external link) or THIS ONE (external link)
Herringbone (external link)
Markins (external link)

Hmmm. Thanks. I must have been searching wrong. I couldn't find any. I figured they must be out there.

These don't look like you could walk around and not worry about the camera falling to the ground.

Same with this one. The Promaster "connects" to your wrist comfortably. You could shake your hand or run and not worry about your camera.

I'm not trying to sell these.....I just thought some of you may want one. I really like mine for walks mostly. I take it off when driving or doing shoots for family or friends most of the time. It's a good tool for walks and other times when you don't need both hands.

The ProMaster does look good, but basically makes your hand useless other than using it with the camera. With the other grips, if I release the camera grip, it means I don't want to hold on to the camera, so I'm free to put the camera down, put it in my bag, change lenses, or whatever. I can also quickly grab another camera body with it. All with the same hand. The ProMaster requires that you unlatch it with your other hand.

Yup, I'm not trying to sell these things. I have nothing to do with them. I was just looking for something like it and thought i would post it. Take it with a grain of salt as they say. Have a good day!

I bought the Hakuba KGP one (the amazon)
good choice

You'll have to let us know what you think of it. I love mine for walking and some other situations. The one I got is perfect for what I got it for.....walking 2-3 miles with my camera and one lens. Maybe I will get another for different situations.

I LOVE my Hakuba grips.. or did until all my camera gear got stolen.
I now have these; they're exact replacements for the Hakuba if you're okay with shipping from china. I have 2 of these now.
