Adapt it for what? And what's currently there? That way we know what to recommend.

I'm having a hard time even envisioning what you need to do...I even looked at a variety of Manfrotto gadgets in an effort to solve what I think you want. Can you better describe what you are trying to accomplish? ...mounting a monopod on top of some base which is on the ground? What monopod, do you have a photo of the end that you have interest in, so some adapter might be found which is suitable?

I have the 190xprob manfrotto tripod... I need to mount a monopod on it...

I do not understand the need for mounting a monopod on top of a tripod! What for?

I have a tendency to think something like this http://www.bhphotovideo.com …_Nano_Clamp.html#features (external link) might serve the purpose, but uncertain about the suitability.

You need to mount a monopod on a tripod? I think that'll be monumentally unstable, even assuming that you could find a fitting that could handle the load. If you really want to go through with this, I'd suggest getting a couple of lengths of PVC pipe, one of about a foot long and big enough around to fit the monopod's base and the other big enough to hold the first and long enough to extend the full height of the tripod and about a foot beyond. Plug the end of the smaller pipe and glue it inside the top of the larger pipe, then lash the assembly to the tripod and fit the monopod into the tube at the top. But, like I said, it'll be unsteady at best.

What is your end goal for this project? Not what the contrivance will look like, but what you hope to achieve with it? If you want to elevate your camera, I'd suggest finding somewhere you could set up a ladder to shoot from.

I hope you're not planning to mount a camera on top of all this? I wouldn't trust the stability, since the whole rig is being supported by that one connection point.
