Not the best lighting situation, but this is such a neat old bird I thought I would share. This plane was flown to Travis AFB in California in 2008. These were the primary USAF aircraft for hauling out-sized cargo before the arrival of the C-5. They were not the best fliers and 9 out of the 50 the USAF had were lost in mishaps.

On the contrary - this lighting is PERFECT for this type of plane...

Awesome job - great shots!

Thanks everyone. Gettign the best angles can be tricky for me as a motorbike acciedent left me minus one leg, so most of my shots are taken from a wheelcair. It's on display at the Travis AFB museum, along with a lot of other cool planes including a C-124, B-29, and B-52 just to name a few, so if you are ever in Northern California in the SF Bay Area/Sacremento region, I encourage you to check it out. Unfortunately, you need to be escorted on the base if you don't have access. You can call ahead to arrange an escort on the base to the musem if you know ahead of time, or if you know any active or retired GI's, they can take you as well. I have more shots of the museum dislpays on my flickr page.
