Could a non original remote switch jeopardize the camera electronic components?
Will be used on Canon 5D and 40D.

I had one that worked great, well until it finally crapped out on me.:(

If it's any consolation I got it used for like $10 so I'm pretty sure I got my moneys worth out of it. :lol:

It's just a mechanical switch. There is no electronic in it. I don't see anything that can damage your camera except a really bad sized connector that you force in the camera.
