I am about to pull the pin on a G10 or G11...
Used G10 about $400.00 new G11 $650.00...
What features make it wortj trading up to the G11 ?
Is it the swivel panel or foes the G11 have better start up time
or low light capabilities or is thier not that much in it ????

G11 is best for indoor photography and yes the swivel screen is nice too. Don't know about the start up time of the G10 but i find the G11 pretty fast.

The low light (High ISO) capability of the G11 is superior to the G10 without a doubt. Whether or not that ( And the swivel screen) is worth the $250 difference is entirely up to you.

I sometimes take for granted the camera prices in the US. I think the price difference would be the determing factor in this case. The swivel screen and low light performance are a big plus for the G11. If most of your shots are outdoors in good light..the G10

Or shop around online. I got my G11 for $550 delivered. That may make your decision easier.

Michael at Luminous Landscape spoke so favourably of the G10 when it came out. He reviewed and spoke positively of the G11.
I found those articles interesting; I had a G9 that I bought after reading an article at that site. So I was interested in, but never purchased the G10.
I did purchase the G11. The main reason? The articulating screen suits me well. Would I buy it again? I'm not sure.
I still really need a carry-around camera with fine image quality.
I suspect today that I would buy an S90 and put a Franiec? grip on it. That camera has an F/2 lens that is wider still than the G11.
I know it doesn't have the screen...;)

Regards,
DaveL

rooeey,,I have a G10..

I bought my daughter a G11 for her birthday.. I shot both cameras side by side and at ISO settings of 400 or under there is very little difference.. At 800 ISO or over the G11 is better.. I also like the swing out screen on the G11..

BTW,,both are brilliant cameras..
