I like it. The only issue is that the field feels a little underexposed while the sky in right-center field looks a bit blown out. That's a great shot though. Nice subtle action.

I think it is another fine piece of work. Looks like the pitcher just released the ball.

Thanks to all for your comments and critique.

David, not sure if I can answer your question...I based the exposure on the grass, pointed my old 50mm Elmar, composing an unbalanced shot to allow some tension from the background to enter into the equation and shot.

I'd like it even more if I could see the left fielder. Don't get me wrong, I love the pic, but its missing symmetry. Even if your lens couldn't reach I think you should of cutoff the outfield evenly. Just my 2 cents.

That's interesting. I noticed this too, but I was able to dismiss it quickly. I see the baseball game as a sort of phony subject, albeit a huge one, against the city skyline. It is nice skyline, alone. It is an interesting ballgame photo, alone. But the two together work together to provide a compelling image. There is a synergy there.

for me not the bassball game is the subject.
the subject (for me) is the bridge because in this photo my eyes follow those upper diagonal lines.

I like this composition

I have no idea what was done, if the sky line was brought in or what as I don't know the city of Pittsburg (yet the Penguins are my favorite team in the USA, go figure) but whatever was done this is really awesome. Like commercial house poster awesome. Great work! When are you selling the prints at Michaels, I want to use a 40% coupon to buy it ;)

I'm originally from Pittsburgh (pre-PNC Park era). I think this photograph is absolutely stunning - from the content, composition, contrast...just great. Congratulations on a great piece of work. I'm with the other poster regarding buying a print (not likely that I'll be in the position or technically able yet to get one like this). Nice job! Thanks for sharing.

I see this has been revived...thank you for your continued comments, critique and kind words.

pitbull - I don't live there but I often visit Pittsburgh for business and pleasure. I always enjoy my stay there.

Christopher - no manipulation. This is the scene you will see from most of the seats in this ballpark which, despite it's relative newness, has a nice, classic feel to it. I've been to a ballgame in many ballparks and PNC Park is one of my favorites.

Thanks again.
