I am trying to decide on a filter size for the CPL and ND filters I am going to buy. I currently plan on using them mainly on my OM 24mm f2.8 (49mm threads), however I was thinking it might be nice to use them on my 50mm with 55mm threads. I do not mind using step up rings but my only concern is significant vignetting on the 24mm. I would like to be able to stack them and even use grad ND filters with the polarizer if possible.

Currently I am planning on getting a B+W MRC Circ Pol (non slim to retain filter threads), and the Hoya ND400. This setup will be used on the 5D2.

What do you guys think?

Alan

You should not see any vignetting with that B+W filter on youre 24mm lens. I have a B+W MRC F-Pro KSM CPL filter and I dont get vignetting from it on my 16-35 II on a 5D and at 16mm, so you will be more than fine.

I forgot to mention I am using the setup on a 5D2. Wow I did not realize they did not vignette even at 16mm. That is a relief. Thanks for the info.
